PumpArray
PA-6
Information
The Global FIA PumpArray is a convenient, compact, high-performance, pump solution for flow synthesis applications. Global FIA’s positive displacement milliGAT pumps provide smooth, continuous flow using four coordinated pistons. The PumpArray modular design allows user-specified configurations to meet application needs. The PumpArray accommodates up to six pumps for flow synthesis.
The PumpArrays can be equipped with any of the milliGAT variants. The milliGAT pumps most commonly used on PumpArrays are summarized in the following table. When purchasing, please use the purchasing tool on this page to specify the location of each pump.
SKU | Description | Flow Rate | PMax1, psi | Wetted materials
MG-1-CER-XT-MD | Low flow, high pressure | 5nL/min – 5mL/min | 500 (@ 5mL/min) | PTFE, ZrO2 (Ceramic)
MG-1-CER-XT-AL-MD | Low flow, high pressure | 5nL/min – 5mL/min | 500 (@ 5mL/min) | PTFE, ZrO2 (Ceramic)
MG-2-CER-XT-MD | High flow, high pressure | 1µL/min – 25mL/min | 200 (@ 25mL/min) | PTFE, ZrO2 (Ceramic)
MG-2-CER-XT-AL-MD | High flow, high pressure | 1µL/min – 25mL/min | 200 (@ 25mL/min) | PTFE, ZrO2 (Ceramic) |
Where required, two-inch pump stand-offs can be installed to reduce heat transfer from the pump motor to the pump head.
Serial communication with the PumpArray is via a USB 2.0 type B connector. An internal USB hub provides two external USB 2.0 type A connectors to connect to external peripherals. Six multiport digital IO connections provide a means of interfacing other devices to the pump station such as level switches. The PumpArray can also be equipped with one or two temperature controllers that provide PID temperature control for external heaters or coolers.
The PumpArray can be operated from the intuitive GlobalOS touch panel interface. This interface allows the user to either start and stop all the pumps at once or to control each pump individually. It also interfaces to the heater controllers or Valco Cheminert valves. Alternatively, the PumpArray can be controlled from any serial control line capable of issuing ASCII commands.
